The location of the temporary Piazza Rosa was Piazza Vecchia (Old Square) in Bergamo Italy a Renaissance square, that Le Corbusier called “ the most beautiful square in Europe”.The project was realised as a part of a major international landscape symposium “I Maestri del Paesaggio – International Meeting of the Landscape and Garden” – one of the most important events in the world of landscape and garden design.The transformation of a major historical space on this scale has proved an irresistible attraction to people of all ages drawing close to two hundred thousand people into the square over sixteen days of its existence during day and night time.
