Within the context of the Three Rivers Park lighting is seen as a major regeneration and place making tool helping the city to reinvent its identity and its relationships with Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio rivers. The lighting strategy delivers a unique vision for the riverfront as an achievable programme involving the whole community, recasting the confluence thereby highlighting the origin and the historical significance of the Ohio river with a laser installation as a premier public realm destination for all.
